I'm now going to show you how to create an under arm dart using my dress block. This type of dart is very popular in fashion, because it looks great on a garment and isn't so visible as a waist dart.
First of all we need to trace off our block, I am only using from the waist up for this tutorial.
Be sure to accurately trace your darts and draw in the lines with a straight ruler and sharp pencil.
Cut down two of your dart lines; one from the top and the other from the bottom.
Create a new line from the under arm hole at the side seam, to the dart.

We will now close the two original darts and create a new one at the underarm on the side seam. Glue down your closed darts.
Finally, you must neaten your neck cutting away the excess paper left from the closing of the dart. Create a new curve at the waist and add all your pattern information.
