I'm going to prepare some tutorials on printing, but I thought I would share some simple but vital information when it comes to screen printing.
If you are creating an image for screen you usually work with the paper measurements below. This is because you must print your design onto acetate or a very light tracing paper with black ink through a computer printer.
Also if you begin working as a freelance textile designer, you might need to print your designs onto paper instead of fabric because it is cheaper and obviously more cost effective.
Metric System
A0 = 841 x 1189 mm (33 1/8 x 46 3/4 inches)
A1 = 594 x 841 mm (23 3/8 x 33 1/8 inches)
A2 = 420 x 594 mm (16 1/2 x 23 3/8 inches)
A3 = 297 x 420 mm (11 3/4 x 16 1/2 inches)
A4 = 210 x 297 mm (8 1/4 x 11 3/4 inches)
A5 = 148 x 210 mm (5 7/8 x 8 1/4 inches)
